LIGHT DRAWINGS

Light Drawings is a series of thirty cyanotype prints. A process-based work created to capture light within an image, these light drawings were created with artificial light and printed with sunlight. Within a dark room various light sources including a number of flash lights and a strobe light, were directed at an open scanner, capturing the movements of light during the scanning process. Light Drawings were created by printing the scanned light movements on acetate paper, the acetate prints were then placed over cyanotype coated pages, printing the light drawings with sunlight, and creating a series of images drawn and printed by light.
