Ysabella Tasovac (formerly Morellini), is an early-career artist currently working in Perth, Western Australia. Graduating from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Design majoring in Fine Art and Art History, Tasovac captures the intangible within her sculptural and installation artwork.

Inspired by memories and emotions her artwork creates a physical presence to feelings of concern. Exploring ecological and emotional panic, Tasovac’s artwork produces metaphorical and physical environments within the gallery space that manipulate the viewer’s perceptions of reality.

Manipulating the physical and ephemeral to give form to that which cannot be held, Tasovac’s art practice is based upon creating physicality out of the immaterial. Tasovac develops process-based abstractions to create varying sculptural forms, interactive installations and prints, using light, shadows, and found materials within her artwork.

Additionally, Tasovac creates large-scale installations, set designs and client work and has completed a Master's degree in Secondary Art Education and Humanities and Social Sciences from the University of Western Australia. Previously, Tasovac participated in art residencies in Indonesia and Paris and was the artist for the Perth and New-York based art collective Heavy Duty.
